Personal Impact of Globalization

The study of globalization has opened my eyes to an issue of which I was not previously aware.  As a business major, I am naturally inclined to the ideal of the necessity of growth.  As human beings, we are constantly striving for self-improvement.  Expansion of personal capacity and capability is natural and an essential aspect of life which allows us to become better individuals in our own respective elements- whether that be as a student, son or daughter, employee, or even as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
The greatest example of the impact of globalization in my personal life comes from my membership in this church.   Although 'Mormons' are typically labeled and associated with the United States of America because of its birthplace in New York, church membership is more prevalent outside of the land lying between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.  As members of Jesus Christ's modern-day church, we strive to follow this historic, yet still relevant, commission given to His original Apostles, "Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." (Matthew 28:19, New Testament)
This scripture directly identifies the impact that globalization has on the church, and in effect my personal life.  Currently, there are 85,000+ missionaries sent out through all the world as representatives of Jesus Christ with the purpose of spreading His gospel.  The doctrines taught by the Savior are necessary for all nations to understand and live.  These principles have shaped and molded my life more proficiently than any other study, habit or experience. Therefore, I support the act of this belief system having a more predominant international influence.
Globalization, as it pertains to the LDS church, neither discriminates neither culture or individuality, nor does it force collectivism.  The standards, morals, and life-style has been established by God, the Eternal Father and is not man-made.  It is necessary that these commandments be regulated and enforced world-wide regardless of age, sex, marital status or geographical location.  Every man and woman born on earth is under the all-searching eye of God, and is therefore admonished to strictly heed His statutes.
I have experienced that this way of life, as guided by God and His chosen servants, is the happiest, healthiest, and most fulfilling way to live life.  I support and encourage the spreading of this doctrine to every end and corner of the earth, in order to bring about the salvation of all mankind.
